Event Details

Yorkshire Pals explores the exciting, unique, and at times tragic, stories of the men from Leeds, Bradford, and Hull who joined their local Pals Battalion and marched off to war in 1914. Join us to learn about the individuals who made up these battalions, what they did and where they were from.

Museum staff have been undertaking a programme of community outreach as part of this exhibition, which has involved members of the public who know any Pals to get in touch with details, so we can help research their individual stories and present them in the exhibition. We have had a great reaction to this and have uncovered stories and objects that help tell the tale of Yorkshire men making the journey to the frontline.
